Nation Builders University (NBU) is committed to total transparency, academic quality, and institutional development as we establish our foundation in Washington, DC.

Current Regulatory Status

NBU is NOT currently licensed, accredited, approved, or authorized to confer degrees.


Licensure vs. Accreditation

  • Licensure: Legal permission from the DC Higher Education Licensure Commission (HELC) to operate and grant degrees in Washington, DC.

  • Accreditation: A separate, voluntary peer-review process verifying academic quality, which requires state licensure as a prerequisite.

Institutional Roadmap & Commitments

  • DC Licensure Process: Actively preparing operational, governance, and academic systems to meet all HELC regulatory standards.

  • Future Accreditation Objectives: Laying the necessary foundation to pursue recognized institutional accreditation once licensed.
